CT1539 - Specialist: BSS Support
Goal of the Job:
  • Provide support to the regions during Integration of new BSS nodes when required
  • Provide support to the region during migration of existing BSS nodes from one network element to another.
  • Monitoring of radio Network utilization and quality trends across the network and flag off network quality issues to Network Quality department for appropriate action.
  • Proffering solutions to repetitive BSS network problems affecting network quality and availability.
  • Coordinate trainings and workshops for the regions in order that the right competences are transferred for the sustenance of the Network
  • Will participate in Network Element software upgrades and updates.
  • Attend to all BSS Emergencies or outage situations escalated to O&M Support
  • Carry Out comprehensive investigation and in-dept tests on all repetitive faults in order to proffer appropriate solution else, escalate faults to the respective Vendor.
Experience
  • 3 years relevant working experience on Ericsson, Motorola or Huawei Equipment
  • Familiar with Radio Network Features
  • Adequate knowledge of BSS Operation and Maintenance
  • Thorough Knowledge of BSS Systems
  • Knowledge of C7 Signaling in GSM Networks
  • Should be familiar with transmission network system
  • Familiar with BSS Integration procedures
  • Strong troubleshooting skills on BSS Systems

REGIONAL SALES MANAGERS

Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations
The Regional Sales Manager is a local (in-country) role, based in one of the regional (North, South, East or West) parts of the country. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, he or she will be responsible for developing and executing the regional distribution channel strategy. He or She will manage the regional sales force and the preferred distribution partner to ensure market visibility and product supply across the region at all times.
This role requires excellent channel/customer skills to effectively communicate the Motorola value proposition, persuade our customers (across the value chain) to place orders and achieve/exceed desired volume, revenue and margin targets. This role encompasses the entire sell through cycle from sell-in to post sales support within the region.
Specific Knowledge/Skills
Requires a BS/BA and experience of 5 years and above
MBA is preferred
Experience in FMCG is highly desired
Strong knowledge of distribution channel management process and good business acumen
Must be proficient in using PC, PowerPoint, Excel, email and other IT business tools
Excellent negotiation skills and knowledge of the local markets are strongly preferred
