Our Client, an Oil Producing Company is looking to fill the following position

Senior Geologist

Key Responsibilities

Primary

Ability to work independently to solve complex geologic problems related to exploration and development

Communicating with remote multi-disciplinary Nigerian exploration group in Calabar

Working with well data (logs, cores and tests) to characterise reservoir

rocks and to construct cross-sections, facies maps, play fairway maps

Remote participation in regional basin analysis and play types or in new basins

Secondary

Representing the Company on technical committees for awarded blocks.

The evaluation of new opportunities through data room visits and

meetings with international E & P companies

Working with 2D and £D seismic data to map open and capture acreage and

working with multi-disciplinary team to develop an inventory of leads

and commercially viable drillable prospects and effectively presenting

recommendations to management

Qualifications

Must have at least 10 years working experience as a geologist, with a t

least 5 of these working in deep water regions in a managerial position.

Must have knowledge of interpretation of 2D seismic with Seisvision.

Must have deep water experience especially in the Niger Delta region.

Must be able to work independently

Having a Masters in geology or a related subject would be an added

advantage
