ACCOUNTS- CONTROLLER

Main Responsibilities

  • To provide the best finance service and support based on requirement from finance manager, business units' management and government agencies.

  • To be in charge of Account Journals, Prepayments and Accruals

  • To be responsible for reconciliation of bank accounts and preparation of all balance sheet schedule and ensure same is signed off by the finance manager on monthly basis.

  • Ensuring Prompt remittance of all taxes and maintaining clean records of tax matters.

  • To carry out period end procedures with the supervision of finance manager

  • Assist in the timely preparation of monthly financial reports, budgets and Full Year estimates and upload into Hyperion Financial Management.

  • To act as FACT (SAP R/3) super-user for Damco Nigeria.

  • To closely follow up with the Accounts receivables unit on overdue outstanding.
Specific Requirements for the Position:

·  Good understanding of finance and accounting concept  with relevant work experience

·  ACA/ACCA Qualification preferred

·  Experienced with the use of Accounting software

·  Accounting experience within the AP. Moller group will be an added advantage 

·  Strong analytical skills

·  Good communication and coordination skills

·  Result and quality orientation with high sense of urgency

·  Willing to work under pressure & passion to take challenges

·  Fluent in both written and spoken English.
